Marksmen Claim McCauley

Fayetteville, N.C-  The Fayetteville Marksmen have signed defensemen Myles McCauley, the team announced on Friday.

In four games with the Knoxville Ice Bears this season, McCauley has registered one assist and no PIMs.

The 6-foot-1, 201- pound defenseman is in his fifth season of professional hockey. Last season, McCauley spent time with the Evansville Thunderbolts (4 GP, 0 G, 2 A, 2 PIM) and the Pensacola Ice Flyers (12 GP, 2 G, 4 A, 0 PIM) of the SPHL and the Port Huron Prowlers (18 GP, 7 G, 5 A, 6 PIM) of the FHL. The native of Sterling Heights, Michigan has also suited up for the Mississippi RiverKings and Augusta RiverHawks of the SPHL and the Jacksonville Icemen and Greenville Swamp Rabbits of the ECHL.

Prior to turning pro, the 26-year-old spent the majority of his junior career in the Ontario Hockey League, skating for the Plymouth Whalers (76 GP, 21 G, 14 A, 28 PIM), the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds (33 GP, 5 G, 7 A, 13 PIM), and the Peterborough Petes (11 GP, 0 G, 1 A, 2 PIM) from 2008-2011.

In a separate transaction, the Marksmen have waived defenseman Taylor Love.
