Fayetteville, N.C- The Fayetteville Marksmen have announced a Name the Mascot contest, open to the public. Individuals will have the concept art of the mascot for inspiration and will have two weeks, beginning Monday, July 17, to submit their entries via http://www.marksmenhockey.com/contest

The initial phase of the contest will close on August 1, and Marksmen staff will select the top five entries. Once selected, fans will have the opportunity to vote on which name they think is the best, with the winner being announced at a special event where the mascot will be unveiled (date TBD).

The winning selection will receive:

• Four tickets to home opener on October 27
• An exclusive photo on-ice with the mascot
• A Marksmen fan experience
• A replica of the mascot jersey-complete with nameplate
