Versatile Forward Set to Join Marksmen

Fayetteville, N.C-  The Fayetteville Marksmen have added versatile forward, Michael Lipari, to the camp roster, the team announced on Tuesday.

A native of Macomb, Michigan Lipari joins the Marksmen after spending most of the 2016/17 season with the St. Clair Shores Fighting Saints of the Federal Hockey League. His offensive prowess led to a call-up with the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs, where he skated in four games to close out the season.  In total, Lipari appeared in 56 games between the two clubs, notching 11 tallies and 43 assists for 54 points in the campaign.

Prior to last season, Lipari appeared in 43 games for the Dayton Demolition, also of the FHL. A rookie in that season, the 25-year-old managed four goals and nine assists.

Before turning pro, Lipari spent four seasons with the Michigan State University Division III Club Hockey team.  While there, Lipari rattled off a 1.40 point per game clip-splitting time between defense and left wing. In all, the 6-foot-2, 216 pound rearguard amassed 200 points (82 goals, 118 assists) in his time with the Spartans. In his final season with the club (2014/15), Lipari was named captain of the team.
