Fayetteville, N.C-  The Fayetteville Marksmen, along with the SPHL, have announced the team’s Protected List on Tuesday. This year’s list contains two goalies, five defensemen, and six forwards, including the league-leaders in scoring (Tayler Thompson), goals-scored (Jake Hauswirth), and goaltending (Sean Bonar).

Players protected by a team cannot be selected by the Birmingham Bulls in the expansion draft. The Marksmen also have first opportunity for negotiations and the team will retain the rights of each player throughout the 2017-18 season, if a contract is not reached.
