FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Fayetteville Marksmen, proud members of the SPHL, announced Wednesday that they have signed goaltender Kyle Curtin for the 2026-27 season.

Curtin, 24, from St. George, Ontario, aims to turn pro this season after a four-year collegiate career that ended this past season with NCAA division-III Utica University. In 22 games for the Pioneers, Curtin went 14-6-1 with a .905 save percentage, 2.20 goals-against average, and three shutouts.

“I’ve been watching Kyle play for a long while in junior,” said Head Coach Garrett Rutledge. “He had an outstanding NCAA career and his very structural style propelled him to a great collegiate career. Kyle will transition very well in the net for the Marksmen.”

Curtin spent the first three years of his collegiate career at NCAA division-III Elmira College where he put up great numbers. Over 53 games there, Curtin posted a 31-19-1 record with a 2.51 goals-against average and .925 save percentage.

“I’m really excited to join the Marksmen organization,” said Curtin. “I’ve heard nothing but great things about Coach Rutledge, the organization, and the fan base. I’m looking forward to getting down there and getting things started!”
