Education Day Game

Every season the Fayetteville Marksmen host a School Day Game that is a field trip for local area students in grades K-8. This game is played on at 10 A.M. on a weekday. Students are welcome to come have a fun, memorable experience while enjoying and learning about hockey. This game includes educational worksheets for the kids along with fun videos.

While the Marksmen have welcomed thousands of students to the game over the past few seasons, there are tens of thousands more who are unable to attend due to financial reasons. We have created the Seats for Students program to help. Local businesses and organizations are able to sponsor less fortunate students as a way to attend the game.

What is the Education Day Game?
A local field trip for K-8 Students in Cumberland and Surrounding Counties. The game takes place at 10 A.M. on a weekday, and students are welcomed to a fun, memorable game experience that features a worksheet for the kids, and fun, educational videos through the game.

What is “Seats for Students”?
Seats for Students is a new program created by the Marksmen to help send less-fortunate students to the Education Day game. Thousands of students have been able to attend our game the last few seasons, but there are tens of thousands more who are unable to attend for financial reasons.

How does the program work?
Any local business that sponsors a Seats for Student level will either have the choice to choose a beneficiary school, or have the Marksmen donate the tickets on behalf of the organization to classes and schools in their community. Additionally, Businesses who sponsor the program will receive accumulating benefits based on the level tier.
