FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Fayetteville Marksmen, proud members of the SPHL, announced Monday that they have signed forward Ricky Boysen for the 2026-27 season.

Boysen, 26, from Pittsburgh, Pa., joins Fayetteville for his second full season of professional hockey after ending last season with the Pensacola Ice Flyers. He recorded 12 points (5 g, 7 a) last season, all of them with the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs.

“Ricky will absolutely be fun to watch,” said Head Coach Garrett Rutledge. “He’s a right-shot power forward that has a very heavy physical game, and specializes puck protection and net-front presence. His veteran presence is going to be very beneficial for our group.”

Prior to starting his career with the Quad City Storm at the end of the 2024-25 season, Boysen spent four years at NCAA division-III Trinity College. In 103 games with the Bantams, Boysen recorded 58 points (31 g, 27 assists).

“I’m super excited to get the season going and build a winning culture in Fayetteville,” said Boysen. “Coach Rutledge knows what it takes to win. I’m looking forward to learning from him and helping him continue his winning track record.”
