Marksmen Sign Former Bull Cremen

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Fayetteville Marksmen, proud members of the SPHL, announced Wednesday that they have signed defenseman Scott Cremen for the 2026-27 season.

Cremen, 23, from Arnold, Md., began his professional career with the Birmingham Bulls at the end of last season, recording one assist in six games with the team.

“Scott is a physical, two-way defenseman who is going to log big minutes for us,” said Head Coach Garrett Rutledge. “Scott had a very good NCAA career, and is a playmaker on the blue line with elite vision. We’re very happy to have him on our side this season.”

Prior to his professional career, the defenseman spent four years at NCAA division-III SUNY-Canton, scoring 52 points (9 g, 41 a) in 87 games.

“I am thrilled to be joining the Marksmen this season in their new era under Coach Rutledge and Coach Jewell,” said Cremen. “The vision for this team’s standard, play style, and development is what drew me here, and I aim to be a part of a culture that brings exciting hockey for the fans in Fayetteville.”

The Marksmen are preparing for the 2026-27 season before they take the ice again in October. Secure your season tickets today at marksmenhockey.com
