Marksmen Bring In Aydan Doyle

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Fayetteville Marksmen, proud members of the SPHL, announced Wednesday that they have signed defenseman Aydan Doyle for the 2026-27 season.

Doyle, 21, from Barrie, Ontario, was a 14th round pick of the Kitchener Rangers in the 2021 OHL Priority Selection and has spent the last 5 seasons in the GOJHL (Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League).

“Aydan possesses high hockey IQ and has that game breaker skill,” said Head Coach Garrett Rutledge. “He values puck possession and is very creative, and also brings toughness and dedication.”

Doyle established himself as a producer at the GOJHL level, with 101 points (23 g, 78 a) in his 184 games over four seasons, including a career-high 49 points (9 g, 40 a) in just 41 games this past season between the London Nationals and Chatham Maroons. He recorded at least one point in 31 of the 41 games he played this past season, including 11 games with multiple assists from the blue line.

“I’m super excited and grateful for this opportunity to take the next step in my hockey career,” said Doyle. “I can’t wait to get down to Fayetteville and meet all the guys, the staff, and the fans. I’ve heard nothing but great things about the organization and the community. I’m looking forward to doing whatever I can to help the team win.”
