FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Fayetteville Marksmen, proud members of the SPHL, announced Wednesday that they have signed defenseman Will White for the 2026-27 season.

White, 25, from Scotch Plains, N.J., began his professional career with the Marksmen at the tail end of last season after four years at NCAA DIII Alvernia University.

“Will helps us as a defender with significant size, physical edge, and a versatile defensive game,” said Head Coach Garrett Rutledge. “He has the ability to shut plays down quickly and get us back on the attack. We’re very pleased to have him back in a Marksmen uniform.”

In his time at Alvernia, White played in 84 games, recording 23 points (6 g, 17 a). He also spent two years with the EHL’s Protec Jr. Ducks prior to his collegiate career, where he recorded 24 points (2 g, 22 a) over 39 games in his final season.

“I’m super excited to be signing back in Fayetteville under coach Rutledge,” said White. “I have heard many great things about coach Rutledge that makes the decision easy for me and my family. My time in Fayetteville was amazing and although we fell short last year, the fans and community down in Fayetteville were so welcoming, and I look forward to being a part of the new era in Fayetteville.”
