FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Fayetteville Marksmen, proud members of the SPHL, revealed their full schedule for the 2026-27 season on Thursday.
The Breakdown:
The Marksmen open their season in Roanoke on October 16 to take on the Rail Yard Dawgs, before Opening Night presented by Jaggers on Saturday, October 17 at 6 p.m. against the same Roanoke team. they’ll then play the Knoxville Ice Bears for three straight, alternating between home and away (two in Knoxville, one in Fayetteville) to close out the month of October.
November opens with the first of two School Day Games presented by PWC on Thursday, November 5 against the Rail Yard Dawgs before a quick trip to Athens to take on the Rock Lobsters for the first time in franchise history the next day. The Marksmen return home to take on the Huntsville Havoc for the first time on Saturday the 7th, beginning a season-long four-game homestand that runs through Sunday the 15th, when the Rock Lobsters come to Crown Coliseum for the first time. A trip to Huntsville precedes three games the week of Thanksgiving to close out the month, including the annual Thanksgiving Eve game against Macon, as well as a home-and-home against Roanoke on Friday and Saturday.
December begins at home against Roanoke and Knoxville before a trip to take on the defending champions, Evansville. The SPHL’s newest rivalry ignites on December 18 in Crown Coliseum as the Marksmen will take on the Pee Dee IceCats for the first time ever, with a rematch slated for the following night. Fans will have no shortage of Marksmen games to watch around the holidays, as Fayetteville will play five games between December 23 and January 2. The matchups include a Boxing Day showdown at the Crown against the Macon Mayhem, and a New Year’s Eve clash in Athens against the Rock Lobsters.
The month of January will see some crucial mid-season series for the Marksmen, with their 10 games after the January 2 showdown in Knoxville being cleanly split with five at home and five on the road. It begins with a two game set against Athens before a long three-game trip to Pensacola. The Storm then come to the Crown for three games before the Marksmen travel for two games in Fayetteville to close out the month.
February will also see a lot of travel for the Marksmen, after they open the month at home against Pee Dee for two games. They’ll play the IceCats for their morning game on Thursday, February 11 in Florence before heading to Birmingham for the next two nights. The Marksmen will then host the Pensacola Ice Flyers for three games before embarking on a season-long five-game road trip that will take the Marksmen to Roanoke, Knoxville, and Pee Dee from February 26 to March 6.
The Marksmen’s next home game will be their second School Day Game presented by PWC, again hosting the Rail Yard Dawgs on March 11 before playing host to the Huntsville Havoc for the next two nights. The Marksmen play five of their final seven games on the road to close the regular season, beginning Wednesday, March 17 in Pee Dee. The Marksmen will then travel to Macon before closing their home schedule against Birmingham on March 26 and 27, and round out the regular season in Pee Dee on April 2 and 3.
