FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Fayetteville Marksmen, proud members of the SPHL, announced Wednesday that they have signed defenseman Ethan McLaughlin for the 2026-27 season.

McLaughlin, 26, from Pentiction, British Columbia, comes to the Marksmen after a five-year career with ACHA division-I Adrian College, where he produced consistent numbers and went to four consecutive ACHA National Championship games with the Bulldogs, winning one in 2024. In 148 games with Adrian, McLaughlin recorded 101 points (22 g, 79 a) from the blue line.

“Ethan is a very good puck-moving defenseman, and he comes from a very proven school that produces winners,” said Head Coach Garrett Rutledge. “He will be relied upon heavily for our defensive game. Ethan comes highly recommend from his peers as well. We’re getting another outstanding player and person for the Marksmen family.”
