FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Fayetteville Marksmen, proud members of the SPHL, announced Monday that they have signed forward Brendan Doyle for the 2026-27 season.
Doyle, 24, from Stratham, N.H., comes to Fayetteville after a four year collegiate career split evenly between NCAA D-III Johnson & Wales University and Plymouth State University.
“Brendan is going to be an exciting player that is hungry to have a successful rookie season,” said Head Coach Garrett Rutledge. “We’re very pleased to get Brendan signed and into the Fayetteville family.”
After a career-high 24 points and 16 goals in just 22 games in his sophomore season at Johnson & Wales, Doyle transferred to Plymouth State and had another season of 24 points (14 g, 10 a) in 23 games. His senior season last year was another strong showing, with 18 points (8 g, 10 a) in 27 games. All told, he played 96 games in college, putting up a total of 79 points (45 g, 34 a) and never dipping below seven goals in a season.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity and look forward to contributing to the team’s success,” said Doyle.
