Princeton Netminder Joins Marksmen

Fayetteville, N.C-  Continuing to sign young talent, the Fayetteville Marksmen have added rookie netminder, Ben Halford out of Princeton University, the team announced on Monday.

Halford, 24, joins the Marksmen following the elimination of the Princeton Tigers in the NCAA tournament. This season, the native of Lenox, Massachusetts appeared in nine games for the Tigers, earning a 1-2 record, with a 2.68 goals against average and a 90.2% save percentage, and helping his team win the ECAC championship.

In all, the 6-foot-3, 205-pound goaltender appeared in 19 games with the Tigers, averaging a 2.95 GAA, coupled with a 91.1% save percentage.

In a separate transaction, the Marksmen have waived goaltender, Matt Leon.
