Veteran D-Man Signed to Camp Roster

Fayetteville, N.C-  Veteran defensemen, Ludlow Harris Jr. has been signed to the camp roster, the team announced on Tuesday.

A native of Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada, Harris comes to the Marksmen entering his fifth season of professional hockey. Last season, the 6-foot, 195-pound rearguard spent time with Port Huron Prowlers of the Federal Hockey League, suiting up for six games and was a teammate of current signee, Matt Beer. He spent the majority of the 2016/17 campaign with the Danbury Titans, also of the FHL, skating in 36 games and totaling 28 points (8goals, 20assists). Harris also spent time with the Macon Mayhem, netting a goal in just two games of action.

Prior to turning pro, the 25-year-old skated for five different teams (Villanova Knights, Vaughan Vipers, Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, Kingston Voyageurs, Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors) amongst three leagues (Ontario Junior Hockey League, Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Ontario Hockey League).

In all, Harris has skated in 133 professional games, notching 54 goals and 57 assists. Of those, 30 games have come in the SPHL, with 10 (4goals, 6assists) of his 111 points also coming at this level.
