Rookie Rearguard Inked to Deal

Fayetteville, N.C-  The Fayetteville Marksmen have added rookie defenseman, Troy Henley, the team announced on Tuesday.

Henley comes to the Marksmen after concluding his junior hockey career. This season, the 6-foot, 209-pound native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, skated in 14 contests with the Brantford Jr. B 99ers of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League, registering four points (1G, 3A).

Prior to this season, Henley spent four seasons in the OHL, lacing up for the Ottawa 67’s, Saginaw Spirit, and Peterborough Petes. In 126 OHL games, Henley tallied 11 points (2G, 9A). Henley was the 20th player selected in the OHL Priority Selection Draft in 2013.

In a separate transaction, the Marksmen have waived Ross Scherma.
