Marksmen Tab Leon to Share Crease with Spano

Fayetteville, N.C-  The Fayetteville Marksmen have added rookie netminder, Matt Leon, the team announced on Monday.

Leon, 26, comes to the Marksmen most recently from the Evansville Thunderbolts, with whom he appeared in two contests. Before joining the Thunderbolts, the native of Pineville, North Carolina skated in three contests with the Peoria Rivermen. Leon has also suited up for the Port Huron Prowlers of the FHL, starting in four games.

Prior to turning pro, Leon spent four seasons at SUNY- Geneseo, starting in 24 contests and never finishing a season below a 90.9% save percentage.

In a separate transaction, the Marksmen have waived goaltender Denys Tsaruk.
