Marksmen Bolster Lineup with Pair of Signings

Fayetteville, N.C-  Defensemen Gavin Yates and Bryan Dallaire have been added to the Marksmen roster, the team announced Thursday morning.

A native of Plymouth, Massachusetts, Yates comes to the Marksmen for his first season of professional hockey. Last season, Yates suited up for the Cardinals of SUNY-Plattsburgh. In 15 games with the Cardinals, the 5-foot-10, 161-pound rearguard registered five goals among 12 points.

Prior to last season, the 22-year-old spent time in the USPHL at the U18, Premier, and Elite levels, with most of his time coming in the Premier league, where he appeared in 100 games, notching 56 points (22g, 34a) in that time.

Dallaire comes to Fayetteville for his third season of professional hockey. The 24-year-old has appeared in 47 SPHL games with four different teams (Columbus Cottonmouths, Mississippi RiverKings, Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs, and Pensacola Ice Flyers). In that time, the native of Saco, Maine produced four goals and nine assists from the blueline.

This season, the 6-foot-3, 168-pound defensemen has appeared in four games with the Carolina Thunderbirds of the Federal Hockey League, with one assist on the score sheet.
