Join The Marksmen Cause for Hockey Fights Cancer Weekend

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The next time the Marksmen return to the Crown Coliseum to play, they won’t skate alone.

They’ll be skating over messages of hope and inspiration, and the names of those who’ve fought and continue to fight the battle against Cancer.

Fayetteville returns home on March 8 & 9 for the team’s HOCKEY FIGHTS CANCER weekend, but the cause starts well-before the first puck drop of the series. On March 6, all fans are invited out to the Crown to paint their messages on the ice – whatever they may be in reference to the weekend – for just a $5 donation.

This $5 donation – as well as additional proceeds from the weekend – will go to benefit the wonderful organizations and people at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the American Cancer Society. The Marksmen have a donation link set up directly through St. Jude currently to help raise funds in their fight. You can donate here.

The Marksmen will skate out on March 8 & 9 in purple “Marksmen Fight Cancer” jerseys, with messages in support of who they fight for on the back of their jerseys, above their nameplates.

A jersey will be raffled off on both nights with our Jersey Off The Back raffle. $5 for one ticket and $20 for six tickets, with your choice of jersey. All jerseys will be live-auctioned following the game on March 9.

During the Friday, March 8 game, we’re offering 16oz cans of Bud Light for just $2, to show that there can be a fight for a great cause while still having a great time at a hockey game.

Fans can attend the Paint the Ice event and the weekend’s games for an affordable price with our ticket packages. For $20, they’ll get to paint the ice and a ticket to either night’s game, or for $30 they can paint the ice and attend both games on the weekend. Get your package for the weekend here.

We are so honored to be able to host a weekend so near-and-dear to our community, and be able to have a weekend of family fun while fighting for a cause we believe in. We hope to see you here.

We’re back home on March 8 & 9 for HOCKEY FIGHTS CANCER weekend. With proceeds from the weekend going to benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital and the American Cancer Society, this will be an emotionally-charged weekend you won’t want to miss.

We invite all fans to come paint our ice on March 6 for just a $5 donation, or with our Hockey Fights Cancer ticket packages, you get either your chance to paint the ice and a ticket to either game for $20, or painting the ice and a ticket to both games for just $30. Get yours here.
